Dear Parents,

To qualify for Kindergarten, the child must reside in Katy ISD and be five years old on or before September 1 of the current school year. Visit our Enrollment Online website link below to begin the registration process.

To qualify for first grade, the child must reside in Katy ISD and be six years old on or before September 1 of the current school year.

PreK students zoned to Shafer Elementary will be placed at Shafer or our designated rollover school based on completed registration. Please see the Katy ISD website for a complete list with qualifications for Pre-Kindergarten enrollment.

How to Register:

1. Submit online registration in Power School.

2. Upload the following original documents to complete registration on campus:

  • Original birth certificate or passport

  • Social Security Card

  • Proof of Residence (current utility bill..water, gas, or electric)

  • Immunization records

  • Parent/Guardian driver's license or I.D.
