Read, Deed, Run

The Silver Knights Read, Deed & Run Marathon Adventure is a commitment lasting ALL school year. Please consider the time commitment (1-2 Thursdays a month until 4:30). You will be required to run one mile each week, read 26 books and log your reading, and perform 26 good deeds (service to an individual or the community) over the course of the program. Thirteen miles and 13 deeds will be completed at school. The remaining 12 miles and 13 deeds must be completed on your own. Students will be provided a list of outside of school volunteer opportunities and a couple of group activities that are not mandatory outside of school. The program will culminate in May when the students run their final 1.2 miles in a “race” to earn their finisher’s t-shirt and medal.
